What is CBD?

CBD is a naturally occuring component of the hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that offers a range of whole-body uses. CBD is just one of dozens of phytocannabinoids and other phytochemicals found in hemp.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD oil is derived from hemp plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and low levels of THC. At Black Sheep Dispensaries, our CBD oils always have less than 0.3% THC. CBD content of CBD oil can vary tremendously across different vendors due to the varying quality of hemp that's used, as well as varying preparation and extraction techniques. Black Sheep Dispensaries produces some of the market's finest quality CBD oil, extracted from healthy, CBD-rich hemp plants.

What Are Cannabinoids?

The word cannabinoids refers to every chemical substance, regardless of its origin or structure, that joins cannabinoids receptors of the body and brain. Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids which occur naturally in the cannabis plant whereas Endocannabinoids are produced naturally in the human body.

Will I Get High?

No. All of our hemp extract products are made from industrial hemp with THC levels below 0.3%. There is no intoxicating effect from taking our products.

How Should I Store My CBD?

For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area away from direct sunlight, with low humidity. This will help to preserve the properties of the hemp extract.

If properly stored CBD may have up to a 1 year shelf life!

What Are Terpenes?

Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds that are aromatic and flavourful component of plant essential oils.

What is The Maximum Daily Dosage?

The maximum daily dose recommended for an adult is 200mg of CBD.

Is CBD Addictive?

Just because the cannabis plant can be known for recreational use that does not mean that it automatically makes it addictive. Recent studies suggest THC is non addictive, it is true however that some people find themselves dependent on cannabis. This may be due to the feeling of euphoria and the amazing potential health benefits of THC.

CBD is categorically not addictive, so let your worries fade away!

A report last year by the World Health Organization declared that CBD is non-addictive, writing, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential” and that “CBD is well-tolerated and safe for human consumption.

CBD is not addictive as it contains no/very little THC. THC is the ingredient that was believed to have addictive properties but recent studies suggest it actually helps people recover from addictions of harsh pharmaceuticals or narcotics.
